V4YS Album Review - Mitzi - Truly Alive (Future Classic)

Truly Alive, the debut album from Brisbane-based band Mitzi, is out on Future Classic and it was definitely worth the wait !

From funky moments smelling like LCD Soundsystem, to melancholic anthems alluding to bands like Kindness or The Whitest Boy Alive, this LP is a perfect example of what I love in the currently red-hot indie/electro scene.

Made of finely crafted bass lines and ethereal keyboards and vocals, their sound is both refreshing and joyful.

Truly Alive, le premier album du groupe australien Mitzi, est enfin sorti et cela valait la peine d'attendre.
Alternant une electro/pop funky qui rappelle LCD Soundsystem, et des hymnes indie plus planants façon Kindness ou The Whitest Boy Alive, le disque est un bon condensé de ce qui me séduit actuellement dans une scène indie/electro en plein boom. Lignes de basses aux accents disco, kaléidoscope de claviers, vocals aériens...le son de Mitzi est à la fois réjouissant et rafraîchissant.  Deux extraits ci-dessus.

Probably one of the record I most eagerly await at the moment, is Australian indie/electro/pop band Mitzi's first LP Truly Alive.

Let's go on with more Future Classic Recordings gems ! Here is a new single from indie synth-pop duo Mitzi.

Their 2011 EP Vinyl Versions featured the sublime track India, which has never left my DJ laptop since then. They're now finally back with Who Will Love You, a powerful new single that probably won't leave it either !

Heavy beats, melancholic vocals and a beautiful synth-led melodies makes it a new winner !





On continue avec les perles australiennes de Future Classic et un nouveau single du duo indie/synth-pop Mitzi.
Leur maxi Vinyl Versions et notamment le morceau India n'a pas quitté mes DJ sets depuis sa sortie en 2011. Ils sont enfin de retour avec Who Will Love You, single imparable porté par des beats soyeux, des nappes de synthés qui réchauffent et des vocals planant juste à la bonen hauteur.
